The Ride

Tuesday, August 22, 2006

At all times when the world seems bleak,
the scarves fly high,
the words escape you,
and your music is dulled.

Turn the tables,
target the time,
talking the talk,

tell those tales.

When you've stood your ground and laughed,
you've straddled it all,
and gained your stride,

remember rightly, relentlessly roll,
rocking, rolling, raving
riddle run,
run right, right ride,
racking ripe,

rule, rack rattle.

Like a thousand birds,
your mind will fly,
when you've waved your wand,
and fixed that song,
loved for so long and keep loving on and on,
flip a little, ride on!

Floating fleet, flimsy feet, Fillmore fun,
fight, flight, fall,
flocking faulty foes,

fickle fame, fortune, fault?
finding felling frosted.

Song Update: Communication Breakdown - Led Zeppelin

Ever wondered if life was like a party?
and you were the Disc jockey,
music would infuse itself into your life,
even if the music was always around.

.
.

A few mixes and scratches adding to the twist,

tweaking the shrill pitches and the distorted bends,

harnessing the rhythm, while adding the double beat,
of bars and whisky and scales and fish.

.
.

Ever thought if life was wedged onto a tight rope walk?

with a stick in your hand to balance your act through,

the seemingly never ending, sharp, thin line.
You could fall down and get back up,

.
.

You could..

But would you?

Song Update: Played A Live - Safri Duo

Celestial rant

Wednesday, August 09, 2006

Rise and fly, up away into the skies,
be one with the transient clouds,
Float on.

I always belonged to the skies,
a place of my own amongst the
Twinkling stars.

I look to my fellow stars for my twinkle,
to the motherly skies which harbors us all
in her limitless expanse.

We set out at night to shine and
give out our twinkle, to those in search of
that something that is somewhere.

In this limitless stretch we breathe excitedly,
as father Sun appears and sends us into a tizzy,
rising up high.

And sending us twirling, into another proportion,
another patch, we twinkle on,
but only someplace new.

Everytime father Sun, sends us swirling into space.
